Contoh Recount Text – Short Biography

What is recount text? Recount text is a text which list and describe one’s experiences by retelling events in the order in which they happened

Recount text can found in the way of a biography is written. A biography conveys details about a person’s life or about an episode in their life. See the following example of recount text about the life of someone.

“Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world“

ggNurcholish Sholeh (born in Babadan, Kertasemaya, Indramayu, West Java, on April 5, 1982) is not a handsome man, but he can give hand to someone who need help.  He is not extra-ordinary person lived in ordinary family. His father was named Sholeh, a Islamic teacher in Babadan and his mother named Halimatussa’diyah, came from Kempek, Cirebon.

He started his education from elementary school until junior high school in his beloved village. After graduate, he continued to Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren Kempek, Cirebon) to learn al-Qur’an and classical book (kitab kuning). There he got many experiences about another culture, friendship, relationship, and leadership, so that he became a teacher.

He wanted to be a professional teacher, so he studied hard and studied smart to get his dream. He said that “Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world.”

Beside he taught a classical book at Islamic Boarding School, he also taught English subject and became the chairman of GEC “Global English Club” at Madrasah Aliyah KHAS Kempek.
